Habitat Loss is the main cause of species endangerment. It occurs when the natural habitat of an animal is destroyed, leaving the animals with little or no space to live. The main type of habitat loss is deforestation (for example, the Amazon Rain forest), though pollution is also a contributing factor. Some animals effected by deforestation are giant pandas, bonobos, Bengal tigers, and the incredibly endangered Amur leopard.
